Course Overview
In this video series we will discuss the concepts relevant for understanding VMware with many best practices for real-world deployments. We will use the Cisco UCS C200 rack mount server for installing VMware ESXi, adding different storage options from iSCSI LUNs to the recommended NFS shares. We will configure VLAN tagging between the ESXi and our Cisco Catalyst switches to allow our virtual machines to be managed in different VLANs.
We will show you how to manage your virtual machines to use the many features available from P2V, V2V, Resource Pools, DRS, to even vMotion for real world deployments. Learn how to upgrade to ESXi 5.0 to setting up the vCenter Server Appliance.
